The North Sea Region Programme is committed to the protection of personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Rules. Your personal data will thus be processed in conformity with the above-mentioned Regulation. 

Should you have any queries about the processing of your personal data, both regarding access to data and rectification of these data, you are invited to send your request to privacy@northsearegion.eu. 

Although you can browse through the North Sea Region Programme's website without giving any information about yourself, we do require certain personal information in order to grant you access to some parts of the portal (OMS). We treat this information according to the privacy policy statement.

Personal data we collect

When you register to become a member of the North Sea Region Programme community or subscribe to our newsletter, blog and updates, we save your private data in our systems. The following information is stored in our website database: name, address, telephone, e-mail, company, job title, and website. 

Some information about the community users is disclosed publicly (basic information): first name, last name, organisation and related project or project idea.

How we use and store personal data 

All information we collect is safely stored in order to provide to the user:

  • Access to the North Sea Region Programme community functionalities (OMS); upon new developments, our users receive relevant updates.

  • Access to the North Sea Region Programme events. Event participants receive related e-mailings.

  • Monthly newsletters for those that subscribed

  • Other targeted mailings related to our services

The North Sea Region Programme does not copy or modify your personal information in any way and uses it solely for the purposes of the North Sea Region Programme's website, Online Monitoring System and newsletters. The North Sea Region Programme never discloses personal information to third parties. We do not ever divulge your personal data for any marketing purposes. 

All the data collected through the online user profile form or other parts of the website will be stored safely in the database system. We take high security measures to safeguard the information against possible misuse or unauthorised access. The data is kept in a highly secure server with daily backups. 

How to access and modify personal data 

You can access all the information disclosed with us at any time, verify its accuracy and, if necessary, correct it. In order to do this, please log in into your profile and adjust everything that is necessary. If you wish to delete your profile, please contact us at privacy@northsearegion.eu.

We have an opt-in principle for the newsletter and blog (you will have to subscribe in order to receive it) and all our mailings include an 'unsubscribe' option. 

Within North Sea Region Programme, we may also provide links to third-party sites. Since we do not control them, we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
